Peer review process

Peer Review Process of Journal of AI-Powered Medical Innovations:

  1. Manuscript Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system, ensuring that the content aligns with the journal’s scope on AI-powered innovations in medicine.

  1. Initial Screening: The editorial team performs an initial review to verify the manuscript's adherence to submission guidelines, relevance to the journal's focus, and the novelty of the research. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria are desk-rejected at this stage.

  1. Assignment to Associate Editor: If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to an associate editor with expertise in the subject area.

  1. Reviewer Selection: The associate editor selects two to three expert reviewers in the field of AI and medical innovations. Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise, track record, and absence of conflicts of interest.

  1. Peer Review: The manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer review process, where both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for its scientific rigor, originality, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field.

  1. Reviewer's Feedback: After evaluating the manuscript, reviewers provide detailed feedback, including recommendations for revision, acceptance, or rejection. They assess aspects such as the validity of the AI methods used, the medical relevance, and ethical considerations.

  1. Author Revisions: If revisions are requested, the authors are given the opportunity to address the reviewers' comments and resubmit the manuscript for further evaluation. The revised manuscript may undergo additional rounds of review.

  1. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers’ feedback and the associate editor's recommendation, the editor-in-chief makes a final decision. The manuscript can be accepted, rejected, or sent back for further revisions.

  1. Publication: Once accepted, the manuscript undergoes copyediting and proofreading before being published in the journal. The article is then made available online, often with options for open access.

  1. Post-Publication: Readers and researchers can engage with the published article through post-publication commentary and discussions, which may be moderated by the journal.

This thorough peer review process ensures that only high-quality, scientifically sound, and innovative research is published in the Journal of AI-Powered Medical Innovations.
